Professor Mark Bekerman

This course will review and discuss procedural and substantive aspects of trusts and estates litigation in New York.  Strongly suggested for any student intending to pursue a career in trusts and estates, topics will generally include jurisdiction of the Surrogate’s Court, probate and administration proceedings, fiduciary litigation, accounting proceedings and miscellaneous proceedings.  JD Prerequisites: Wills, Trusts & Future Interests (EST 140) required.  Estate Administration (EST 150) recommended, may be taken concurrently.  With permission of the instructor, equivalent knowledge and experience may be substituted for EST 150.
