New York Law School Home

The New York Law School Law Review is closely linked to our five Academic Centers and the Harlan Scholars Honors Program. The Law Review publishes scholarly papers, articles, and lectures generated through symposia organized by the Centers and Law Review staff. In addition, the Law Review solicits and publishes scholarship from outside authors, as well as student-written notes and comments. All Law Review members are required to write a short Case Comment, and have the option, beginning in their second semester, of writing a longer Note under faculty supervision.

Students are selected for the Law Review based on a class rank placing them in the top 15 percent of their class after the first year, and our Harlan Scholars serve on the Law Review. In recognition of their exceptional ability, offers are made to a limited number of students who excel in the summer writing competition and to those who earn truly exceptional grades in their second year studies. Members of the Board of Editors of the Law Review are chosen by outgoing Board for their editorial skills and superior contributions as staff members.
