This clinic provides students with the opportunity to represent low-income clients with legal problems that are caused or worsened by urban poverty. Working under facutly supervision, students will be introduced to civil litigation and advocacy by representing clients in government benefits or employment discrimination cases. During the semester, students will work on actual cases and attend seminar sessions devoted to substantive law and legal skills related to their cases, including interviewing, counseling, fact investigation and analysis, negotiating, mediating, and trial advocacy.
