The first Faculty Presentation Day was held less than a year following the terrorist attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001. More than 20 members of the faculty presented their scholarly work-in-progress on a range of topics, many of which focused on legal issues raised by our nation's response to the attacks.

Papers from that day were published by the New York Law School Law Review in a special symposium issue, "Reflecting on the Legal Issues of Our Times: New York Law School Faculty Presentation Day," Volume 46, Numbers 3 and 4.
