What is the Alumni Mentor Program?
The Alumni Mentor Program (AMP) puts students and graduates in touch with New York Law School Alumni Mentors who have volunteered to meet with students/graduates to answer questions about practice areas, geographical locations, or discuss any other career planning concerns.
Can I get a job through this program?
AMP is not designed for the purpose of directly obtaining employment. The program provides students and alumni the opportunity to develop rewarding relationships with alumni practitioners. Mentors have agreed to offer career advice and guidance, but not a job.
Does the Career Services Office contact the alumni for me?
No. You can call, email or write the alumni directly. This is determined by their "preferred method of contact."
What if the person I call or write fails to get back to me?
When you contact mentors, please remember that they may be very busy and may respond as promptly as you would like. Be persistent and try again.
