The purpose of the Russian American Law Students Association (RALSA) among other purposes is to:

  • Encourage and maintain a supportive community of law students at NYLS
  • Facilitate the orientation and assimilation of new students to NYLS
  • Articulate and promote the needs and goals of RALSA students at NYLS
  • Foster professional competence among RALSA students at NYLS
  • Sponsor student events providing information about and encouraging career advancement through employment opportunities
  • Develop programs utilizing our legal training to address the legal and non-legal problems of the Russian community
  • Provide a cooperative atmosphere conducive to creativeness, innovativeness, and friendliness among its members.
