New York Law School has its own Residence Hall in Manhattan exclusively for New York Law School students. The Residence Hall is located at 81 East 3rd Street (in the East Village). The rent ranges from approximately $1225–$1780 per month, per person. Detailed prices of different apartments and bedrooms will be posted in a few weeks. The leasing term is for approximately 12-months, August 18, 2007–July 31, 2008 for entering students. We will offer 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen and full bathroom.

Other Housing: If you are planning to search for an apartment on your own, we recommend that you begin in May to do research to get an idea of the kind of apartments that are available in New York. However, if you are planning to move to New York in early August, in most cases you will not be able to sign a lease until approximately 30-45 days prior to the date you move into the apartment. The majority of landlords and apartment managers list their available apartments 4-6 weeks before they become available. If you find an apartment in early June, chances are that the landlord will want you to sign a lease to move in July.

A listing of available rentals and shares will be mailed to all admitted students who have submitted both first and second deposits to the Admissions Office. The listing of rentals and shares are apartment listings sent to the NYLS Housing Office from current NYLS students, NYLS alumni, and non-affiliated persons not affiliated with NYLS who wish to rent their apartment to a NYLS student (or share their apartment with a NYLS student).

Feel free to contact the NYLS Housing Office if you require further assistance or additional information. We can be reached at housing@nyls.edu or 212.431.2166 or visit the Housing Office Web page.

NOTE:
*New York Law School reserves the right to rent to faculty or, in the event of vacancies, to students from other institutions.

I live in Brooklyn, but went to college in Manhattan and have been commuting here on a daily basis since I completed high school. The school’s location is perfect for me. When I came to an open house for admitted students, I just liked the environment. More
