The Black Law Students Association was organized to articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of black law students and others traditionally excluded from the American legal system. The New York Law School chapter of BLSA is affiliated with the national organization.

In addition to the many activities it sponsors throughout the academic year, BLSA holds an annual alumni banquet to honor a graduate of the Law School who has made an outstanding contribution to the legal profession and to our community.
