For assistance, contact the Office of Marketing and Communications at ext. 2872.

Make sure rooms have been reserved before printing and advertising your event/meeting.

Contact the Office of Marketing and Communications at least FIVE weeks in advance of your event to ensure that your materials are completed and mailed on time.

To make a print job request, please fill out a Creative Services Request Form. When filling out this form, you can provide the office with the details of your job, including: deadline, quantity, mailing instructions, and the final text for your print job that is ready for layout. Also, please note: The Office of Marketing and Communications will conform your text to the New York Law School Style Guide, but is not responsible for fact-checking your information; therefore, please ensure that you pay particular attention to the spelling of names, titles, dates, etc.

Invitations: If you will be mailing invitations to outside constituents, the basic schedule is:

  • Allow one-two weeks for design and text edits.
  • Allow two weeks for printing (including approvals on color and blueline proofs).
  • Allow one week for U.S. Mail (including mailhouse processing).

Templates: Different types of templates are available for inexpensive invitations. These are pre-printed with the Law School logo in color and the return address, and they are produced on paper that can be run through the HP Laserjet printers or Copy Center photocopiers. Layout can be done using MS Word or Wordperfect.

Programs: These can generally be done by using pre-printed templates, but there is a very wide variation here. Contact the Mailroom/Copy Center for more details.

If this piece requires design, please submit a Creative Services Request Form to the Office of Marketing and Communications. Please allot five weeks to produce and print:

  • Allow nine business days for printing and binding and delivery of pieces.
  • Allow two weeks for the proofing process.
  • Allow one-two weeks for design and layout (depending on size of piece).

Photographer: Requests should be made not less than one week before the date of the event.

Media Releases: The Office of Marketing and Communications would like notice of events as soon as date / time / place / topic / speakers are confirmed. Most events are NOT considered newsworthy by the media, but we like to issue at least a calendar listing for events that are open to the public. Most newspaper calendars require at least three weeks' notice, so it is critical that we have information as soon as an event is confirmed. For media coverage, sometimes two or three days' notice before the event is all that is needed if the speaker or topic is newsworthy.
