The Center for International Law provides students of New York Law School with opportunities to become actively involved with and learn more about international law. Below is a listing of programs sponsored by the Center for International Law:

  • Research assistants: for the Center for International Law undertake research duties for various Center projects, including its flagship publication, The International Review, which is the award-winning and only academic newsletter published by an ABA-accredited law school that reports on a broad range of contemporary international and comparative law issues. The current research assistants are: Arti Desai, Atossa Movahedi, and Michelle Pak.   • John Marshall Harlan Scholars Program: is a rigorous academic honors program designed for New York Law School students whose have performed at the top of their law school class.  It gives them the opportunity to focus their law school studies, gaining depth and substantive expertise beyond a broad understanding of the law. Eligible students affiliate with one of the Law School’s six academic centers. (Contact: Michael Rhee)

  • International Law Fellowship: is a semester-long appointment (with the possibility of reappointment at the end of each semester) for a New York Law School student. The Fellow provides timely international law memoranda to practitioners, government bodies, civic groups, and international organizations. The current fellow is Jamie McAleavey.   • Network 20/20 Fellowships: provide an opportunity for New York Law School students to work directly with Network 20/20, a global security think tank. Past projects include an appraisal of the impact of civic and non-governmental organizations on democracy and development in Iran.   • Associates: of the Center participate in its events and projects. The current Associates are: Claude T. Aiken, Veronica E. Frosen, Brian Kochisarli, Przemyslaw P. Polaski, Patrick Romero, and Shahin Shaghaghi.
