The Asian American Law Students Association was formed to enable law students to take unified action on issues of concern to the Asian American community. 

Among its many activities, AALSA co-sponsors an annual alumni banquet with the Latino Law Students Association (LaLSA) and the South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA) to honor a distinguished attorney for his or her accomplishments in the legal profession.
