System Requirements for the Online Program

The Mental Disability Law Online Program is conducted on the Blackboard Learning System, Version 7.3.  Blackboard is a richly-featured learning management system, and its many tools require that users meet certain system requirements.

Hardware Requirements

Windows

  • 200Mhz+ processor
  • 800x600 monitor (1024x768 recommended)
  • 56k modem (High Speed Internet, DSL or Cable, recommended)
  • 512MB RAM or greater

Macintosh

  • G4+
  • 800x600 monitor (1024x768 recommended)
  • 56k modem (High Speed Internet (DSL or Cable) recommended)
  • 512MB RAM or greater

Software Requirements

The following combinations of browsers and operating systems are "certified and fully supported" by Blackboard:

  • Windows XP & Internet Explorer 6
  • Windows Vista & Internet Explorer 7
  • Windows Vista & Netscape 7.1
  • Windows XP & Netscape 8.0

  • 10.4 & Firefox 1.5
