Professor Philip Segal

Examines the substance and practice of law in family court. Topics include child abuse and neglect; juvenile delinquency; establishing and contesting paternity; custody and child support. Considers how issues such as domestic violence, substance abuse, and poverty affect the practice; and newly evolving family court structures. Consideration given to mediation, family case conferencing, and multidisciplinary representation.
