A Message from Dean Anthony W. Crowell

As the new Dean and President of New York Law School, I invite you to explore what makes us such an extraordinary institution. In May 2012, I joined the Law School after serving for 10 years at City Hall, where I was Counselor to New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. During that time, I also taught here as an adjunct professor and mentored many students who have gone on to impressive careers. I’m more excited today than ever about the power and promise of New York Law School. I know that after learning more, you will be too.

Simply put, New York Law School is a wonderful place. So many aspects of the Law School’s character drew me to become part of this community—the outstanding faculty, the first-rate curriculum, and, of course, the deep commitment to preparing students for the practice of law with distinction. The School’s location in New York City—the undeniable capital of the world—means that studying here is filled with opportunities to learn law, take action, and build a foundation for a meaningful and successful career. And because our campus is in the heart of the city’s legal, government, and financial districts, students are provided with an unmatched opportunity to work with many lawyers at the top of their fields and gain invaluable practical experience in so many different areas of law, just steps from their classroom.
