The SBA is the official representative body for NYLS students. SBA representatives meet regularly with members of the administration to discuss student concerns and to help keep the student body informed about law school issues. The SBA sponsors activities and programs designed to promote awareness about the duties and responsibilities that are expected from lawyers by their practice, the community, and the legal profession. The SBA plans events throughout the year that enable students to network, enhance their academic performance, socialize and build relationships with their classmates, and give back to the community. All students are encouraged to get involved by running for the SBA Senate, attending school events, joining one of our many student organizations, and more!
SBA Senate meetings are held once a month and are open to the NYLS community. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
