How to Give

Every gift creates opportunities for the next generation of leaders

Your support allows NYLS to provide students with an innovative legal education, delivered by a world-class faculty, in the most important city in the world. From vital scholarships to academic programs, legal clinics and externships, co-curricular programs, and more, NYLS students gain the real-world legal experience needed to be leaders in law, business, and public service.

This is possible thanks to your investment in our students. Thank you for partnering with us to have a career-changing, and life-changing, impact. We are proud to recognize donors in our Honor Roll of Donors.

Direct Your Giving

Your generous contributions may be directed to an area that is most meaningful to you. The NYLS Annual Fund relies on gifts in any amount to provide unrestricted support for areas of greatest need, and the full range of programs and resources that allow us to deliver an innovative legal education, including scholarships, academic centers, legal clinics, co-curricular programs, student organizations, faculty development, and campus renewal.

We are also happy to work with you to support specific needs that will have an impact for students and are aligned with your own philanthropic goals. Please contact us to learn more at 212.431.2800 or alumni@nyls.edu.

To find out if your company has a matching gift program, search for your employer here. To help NYLS claim a matching gift, submit the request using your employer’s online matching gift portal, or complete your employer’s hard copy form. Send it to us at alumni@nyls.edu or New York Law School, Office of Institutional  Advancement, 185 West Broadway, New York, NY 10013.

Estate and Planned Gifts (1891 Society)

Donors who include NYLS in their long-term financial or estate plans are welcomed into our 1891 Society. These gifts allow you to have a long-lasting impact far into the future and may offer financial benefits for you and your loved ones. Planned giving can be as simple as adding a line to your will or naming NYLS as a beneficiary, or it may involve a more sophisticated arrangement that can offer substantial tax benefits while guaranteeing you or your loved ones an income stream. The Office of Institutional Advancement is available to work with you and your financial advisors to develop a gift plan that meets your financial and philanthropic goals. Please find more information here.
