This course focuses on the legal structure, management, and ownership of cooperative housing corporations and condominiums. Topics include the contrasting natures of the two forms of ownership; management of the entities; transfer and assignment of ownership interests; communal responsibility; defaulting owners; house rules; income tax considerations; and conversion from rental to ownership.

This course is a substantive advanced doctrinal course that deals with the laws and policies that govern condominiums and cooperative housing corporations.
