Join Anna G. Cominsky ’05, Associate Professor of Law, New York Law School; Graham Rayman, a reporter at the New York Daily News and co-author of the new book Rikers: An Oral History; and Natalie Fiorenzo, a corrections specialist at at New York County Defender Services, who works closely with people incarcerated at Rikers; and Tuhfa Begum ’23, to discuss the origin of the humanitarian crisis at Rikers Island, the history behind failed reform efforts, and what the fight to close Rikers looks like.
