George Katrougalos is the Independent Expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order (appointed by the Human Rights Council) to identify possible obstacles to and best practices in the promotion and protection of a democratic and equitable international order at the local, national, regional, and international levels. A former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece who previously served as a member of the European and the Greek Parliaments, Mr. Katrougalos is professor of public law at Democritus University of Thrace.
