At New York Law School (NYLS), learning by doing starts early, and continues throughout your legal education. Whatever your area of interest, this session will show you how experiential learning at NYLS can shape your path—and set you apart!
From your first year onward, you can gain hands-on experience through clinics, externships, simulation courses, and other practice-based opportunities designed to build your confidence, sharpen your skills, and prepare you for the realities of legal practice.
Join Dean Kim Hawkins, Stephen J. Ellmann Dean of Clinical and Experiential Learning, for an inside look at how NYLS helps students bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world lawyering. You’ll learn how our programs allow students to work on real cases, serve real clients, and graduate practice-ready for a wide range of legal careers.
