Event Details

For a few days last week, the stock for videogame retailer GameStop Corp. became the most heavily traded in the world. Professor Howard S. MeyersDirector of the Center of Business and Financial Law and former SEC Enforcement Attorney—will discuss the implications of social media on the integrity of the financial markets, consider what reforms securities regulators may make in light of the frenzied trading in GameStop, and explore whether online trading platforms such as Robinhood are contributing to stock market volatility.
