Hospital bombings, torturing of detainees, gassings, and executions of civilians on sides of highways––is anything off limits amidst recent armed conflicts around the world? While fighting is inherently violent, nations must still abide by certain rules and regulations during warfare.
Christopher Harland, the Deputy Permanent Observer and Legal Adviser of the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation to the United Nations, will give an overview and discuss important provisions of international humanitarian law.
