Event Details

While investing in the market always involves risk, any losses should not stem from misconduct, such as when brokers trade excessively, sell unsuitable investments, or engage in fraud. Legal interns from NYLS’s Securities Arbitration Clinic will describe how they help real-life clients recoup their losses from broker misconduct by interviewing prospective clients, conducting legal analysis, drafting pleadings, and representing them in actual arbitration hearings.

This informative session will be hosted by Professor Howard S. Meyers, Director of the Center for Business and Financial Law and Director of the Securities Arbitration Clinic, where he supervises legal interns as they work to resolve complaints and pursue damages caused by stockbroker misconduct.
