Event Details

Billions in assets are now owned by online communities known as decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). DAOs serve numerous purposes such as maintaining software protocols, funding projects, and investing in art. DAOs lack traditional hierarchies and operate according to blockchain-based rules and tokenized governance systems. In this lunch presentation, New York Law School Professor Houman Shadab will discuss the rapid rise in DAOs and their implications for organizational law and legal practice.
