Topics include: principles of interest-based negotiation; selecting appropriate mediators; pre-mediation client counseling––BATNAs, RPs, BAGs, priority setting; risk assessment, present-value determination, and negotiation strategy; working with the mediator; framing an advantageous opening statement in mediation; and when to collaborate and when to compete.
