Professor Zozo Dyani-Mhango presents “South Africa’s Accountability for International Crimes: Revisiting the (non)Prosecuting of Apartheid as a Crime Against Humanity.”   

Ntombizozuko “Zozo” Dyani-Mhango is a professor at the University of Pretoria School of Law.  She held academic positions in the University of the Witwatersrand School of Law for 16 years, teaching public international law, international criminal law, and constitutional law. Before joining the University of the Witwatersrand, Dyani-Mhango clerked at the Constitutional Court for Justice Sandile Ngcobo, who later became the Chief Justice of South Africa. She was also a legal research intern in the Chambers Section of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania. In 2017, Dyani-Mhango was the contributing guest editor of Southern African Public Law Journal (Volume 32, Issues one and two), entitled Twenty-First Century Constitutional Jurisprudence of South Africa: The Contribution of Former Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo.
