Join NYLS student organization OutLaws and the Wilf Impact Center for the first panel in the Legal Activism: Past, Present, and Future series.

When the world feels overwhelming, fear can be a starting point for action. This panel brings together legal advocates from two moments of crisis to explore how LGBTQ+ communities have utilized the law—from wills activism during the AIDS epidemic to today’s youth advocacy and mutual aid work.

If you’re asking, what can we do? This panel is for you.

FEATURED PANELISTS:
William P. LaPiana, Dean of Faculty; Rita and Joseph Solomon Professor of Wills, Trusts, and Estates; Director, Estate Planning Studies, Graduate Tax Program; Co-Editor, Journal of Legal Education)
Amy Leipziger, Project Director, Free to Be Youth Project at the Urban Justice Center; NYLS Adjunct Clinical Professor

This event is sponsored by Outlaws.
