Please join the Wilf Public Interest Impact Center in conversation with three anti-racist, abolitionist advocates pushing to rethink and replace the current framework of child welfare interventions due to alleged neglect and abuse. Their work strives to abolish systems of harm and create concrete community resources to support families. Our panelists will discuss how the Family Policing System, formally known as the Child Welfare System, disproportionately impacts, traumatizes, and harms people and families of color.

PANELISTS:
Joyce McMillian, Executive Director, JMAC for Families
Angela Burton, Interim Legal Director of Family Defense Practice, Bronx Defenders
Tatiana Rodriguez, Executive Director, Family Matters First
(Moderator) Andrew Scherer, Professor of Law and Policy Director of the Wilf Impact Center for Public Interest Law, New York Law School
