With summer jobs ending comes another opportunity to update your resumé and shine! In this interactive virtual workshop, we will review the basics of legal resumé drafting and formatting by going through a template and discussing its clarity, consistency, and visual appeal. We will discuss best practices in describing your legal duties at summer internships (hint: be specific!) and tailoring your resumé to different employers. Students will also be provided with job descriptions for NYLS clinics.
During this workshop, you’ll:
–Make your resumé a living and appealing document that is easily updated
–Learn to express interest in a particular practice area by including relevant classes and activities
–Write clear and concise job descriptions
–Set your updated resume to ‘Default’ on Symplicity
