Brian T. Noel ’16
Associate Director of Academic and Bar Success Initiatives
Brian T. Noel ’16 has joined New York Law School as an Associate Director of Academic and Bar Success Initiatives. In this role, he assists with the design and delivery of academic and bar support programming intended to help students develop the critical skills they need to succeed in their coursework, pass the bar exam, and build satisfying legal careers.
Prior to beginning his career in legal education, Professor Noel served an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office. During that time, he was assigned to the New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor, which prosecutes felony narcotics cases in all five boroughs of New York City, both as a member of the Trial Division and later the Special Investigations Bureau. During his tenure in the District Attorney’s office, Professor Noel tried several cases to verdict and handled complex investigations of narcotics trafficking and money laundering organizations in cooperation with local, state and federal authorities.
In 2019, Professor Noel joined the Academic and Bar Success Initiatives team at NYLS as an adjunct professor, teaching the Foundations for the Study of Law course to first-year evening students.
Professor Noel attended NYLS as an evening student, where he served as Executive Editor for the Moot Court Association and as Notes and Comments Editor for the New York Law School Law Review.
