(Lunch Lecture) Working as a United Nations Lawyer

The U.N. Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) provides a unified central legal service for the Secretariat and to principal and other organs of the U.N. It also contributes to the progressive development and codification of public international law and trade law. Ronja Bandyopadhyay, an OLA legal officer, will give an overview of its work and discuss the types of legal issues facing the U.N. A former attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, Ms. Bandyopadhyay is a graduate of Columbia University and earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School where she co-founded the Harvard Law Student Advocates for Human Rights.
