Foreign Service Officers work on nearly every continent, promoting American interests through public diplomacy, protecting U.S. citizens abroad, and maintaining economic and political relations with other nations.
Jenifer Joyce ’90 will discuss her position in the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations at the U.S. Department of State and her many other assignments. She has served as Consular Officer in Colombia; Embassy Political Officer in India; Program Officer in the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration at the U.S. State Department; Chief of the American Citizens Services Unit in Taiwan; and Press Spokesperson for the Bureau of Energy Resources. Before entering the Foreign Service, she was Counsel to the Committee on Transportation of the New York City Council.
