State and Federal Clerkships: How to Seek, Land, and Succeed in the Right Clerkship for You

The Office of Academic Planning and Career Development invites you to join a panel of alumni featuring speakers from both federal and state clerkships to discuss tips on how to seek, land, and succeed in clerkships at different levels, and how such opportunities can be invaluable in launching your legal career. We will also provide tips on how to make your clerkship experience both valuable to your professional development and assist you in becoming an asset in chambers.

Panelists:

Austin D’Souza ’11 serves as the principal law clerk the Honorable Faviola Soto at the New York State Court of Claims.

Julie Nociolo ’14 is a former law clerk to the Honorable Gary L. Sharpe at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. She also served as a Central Staff Court Attorney at the New York State Court of Appeals.

Bretta Oluyede ’15 served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Petrese B. Tucker, the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Chris Rizzolo ’18 is former judicial law clerk to Presiding Judge Stephen Taylor, Criminal Division, Morris County, Superior Court of the State of New Jersey.
