NYLS was awarded high grades in several categories from preLaw magazine, including an “A” in Technology Law, an “A” in Intellectual Property Law, and an “A-” in Environmental Law. The national rankings were published in preLaw’s spring 2018 issue. The magazine graded law schools based on the breadth of their curricular offerings, including clinics, concentrations, and centers.
In the same issue, NYLS’s state-of-the-art facilities were ranked among the “Best Law School Buildings” in the country, earning an “A-”. Criteria included the availability of large assembly and clinical spaces, technology, library accessibility, on-site dining services, study carrels, and more.
Previously, in its winter 2018 issue, preLaw ranked NYLS No. 12 nationally for “Best Schools for Public Service—Government” and No. 4 nationally for “Best Schools for Public Service—Public Defender/Prosecutor.” In that issue, NYLS also received an “A-” in Alternative Dispute Resolution and a “B+” in Trial Advocacy.
