Center for Real Estate Studies

International Partnership with the Dubai Real Estate Institute

The Center for Real Estate Studies signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the region’s first academic institute for real estate studies. The agreement enables DREI and the Center to develop executive education courses and graduate law programs, as well as explore collaborative research initiatives. Professors Berman and Tracht will travel to Dubai in June  to offer a comprehensive three-day course, “Navigating the United Sates Real Estate Market: Legal, Business & Regulatory Issues.” For more information, please click here.

Center for Real Estate Studies Law Reporter

The Center will begin publishing a new newsletter, Center for Real Estate Studies Law Reporter, which will fill an important need for New York real estate lawyers. The new publication will report, consolidate, and analyze court cases, pending state and city legislation and regulation, and current “best practices” in preparing contracts and other documents in real estate transactions. CRES Associates will write articles for the new publication and each student will be responsible for reporting on new developments in one or more specific fields (such as landlord/tenant law, commercial leasing, real estate development, real estate finance, commercial and residential real estate transactions, title insurance, real estate brokers, etc). If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter, please email realestate@nyls.edu.
