NYLS is fully approved by the American Bar Association through its Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. The School is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. and its curriculum is registered with and approved by the New York State Education Department.

Accreditation

Founded in 1891, New York Law School is one of the largest and oldest independent nonprofit law schools in the United States. NYLS operates under a charter granted by the Board of Regents of the State of New York. The J.D. program is fully approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) through its Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. NYLS is also a member of the Association of American Law Schools. NYLS’s curriculum is registered with and approved by the New York State Education Department.
