Federal Income Tax: Partnership

This course examines basic taxation of partnerships, including tax consequences of formation, operation, distributions, retirement of partners, guaranteed payments, and termination. The course introduces students to the problems of special allocations and transfer of partnership interests.

This upper-level, substantive course focuses on the laws, regulations, and policies that impact the formation, operation, and dissolution of partnerships.

Open to Tax LL.M. students.

Prerequisite: Federal Income Tax: Individual. Accounting and Financial Reporting for Lawyers recommended but not required.
