New York Wills Practice

This course reviews and discusses procedural and substantive aspects of trusts and estates litigation in New York. It is strongly suggested for any student intending to pursue a career in trusts and estates. Topics generally include jurisdiction of the Surrogate’s Court, probate and administration proceedings, fiduciary litigation, accounting proceedings, and miscellaneous proceedings.

This upper-level substantive course reviews the procedural and substantive aspects of trusts and estates litigation in New York.

Recommended for the following Professional Pathways: Trusts and Estates; Tax

Prerequisites: Wills, Trusts and Future Interests. Estate Administration (EST 150) is recommended and may be taken concurrently. With permission of the instructor, equivalent knowledge and experience may be substituted for EST 150.

Open to Tax LL.M. students.
