Members of this student-run, co-curricular program have the opportunity to develop their lawyering skills as they represent New York Law School in local, regional, and national competitions.

Dispute Resolution Team – General

The Dispute Resolution Team is a student-run, co-curricular program that represent New York Law School in local, regional, and national lawyering skills competitions. Competitors gain experience in client interviewing and counseling, negotiation, mediation, and arbitration in a wide variety of subject areas. Students gain membership to the Team by successfully competing in NYLS’s Intramural Negotiation Competition held annually each spring, or through exceptional achievement in a writing competition held in the fall semester.

This co-curricular program offers student members the opportunity to develop their lawyering skills. The Dispute Resolution Team’s Executive Board and Faculty Advisor oversee the Team’s activities. Students may earn academic credit through membership and active involvement in Team competitions and training.

Prerequisite or Co-requisite: Students who have completed one semester toward their degree are eligible to compete for membership.

1 Credit for Active Members and 2 Credits for E-Board Members
