Each spring, NYLS sends a team to Vienna, Austria, to compete in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot—the world’s largest law school competition dedicated to international commercial arbitration.
Drawing upon a hypothetical business dispute, participants learn important advocacy skills (such as memoranda writing and argument presentation) and engage in oral hearings with hundreds of other law students from nearly 100 various nations.
Learn more about Vis Moot at this information session. Students do not need to be a member of the Moot Court Association to join. Applications for next year’s Vis Moot team will open in mid-April.
