As crypto assets and services are touted as the cutting edge of financial innovation, recent developments show that they still involve substantial risks to the investing public. NYLS Professor and Center Director Howard S. Meyers will have an informal conversation with Jorge G. Tenreiro, Deputy Chief of the Crypto Assets and Cyber Unit in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, about the SEC’s oversight of the crypto space, recent and ongoing actions, and crypto issues facing the agency in the years ahead.
This event is co-sponsored by NYLS’s Ronald Filler Institute for Financial Services Law.
