Kosovo’s long and arduous road to independence in 2008 presents a fascinating case study of the interplay between international law, regional and geopolitical dynamics, and democratic development. In his lecture, Ambassador Blerim Reka will discuss the challenges and achievements of Kosovo’s state-building efforts, discuss its neighbor relations, explore its pursuit of European Union membership, and review the country’s regional and global challenges, delving into their implications on global governance.
