Foreign businesses and entrepreneurs face legal and cultural challenges when planning, implementing, and managing their U.S. business. They need to develop strategies for the business life cycle, from inception to growth to eventual exit. This program will identify key requirements for corporate formation and governance-by-design; examine the use of classic business models such as the sale of goods, licensing, and online services; and discuss outsourcing/supply chain management. It will also explore redesign strategies to resolve conflicts of law in commercial relationships, including distributorships and commercial sales agencies, and exit planning alternatives.
