The Womxn of Color Collective’s Annual Alumni Reception is a formal networking reception bringing together alumni, students, faculty, and members of the legal community to foster professional connections, mentorship, and engagement among women of color in the legal profession.
Samantha Dunac ’17 is currently a music attorney on the Columbia Records Business and Legal Affairs team, where she supports a roster of artists. Her day-to-day work involves negotiating agreements, including Recording Agreements for acquiring the rights and/or partnerships related to an artist’s music, as well as the multitude of agreements associated with maintaining their IP and the record label’s business interests. She is also dedicated to working towards equality and equity within the music industry and beyond.
During her time at NYLS, Dunac served as the President of the Black Law Students Association, helped to revive and served as the Co-President of the Legal Association for Women, and was the Job Fair Coordinator for the Northeast Black Law Students Association. She now serves on NYLS’s Alumni Association Board of Directors.
