This course introduces students to persuasive legal writing, oral advocacy, client counseling, and negotiation.

Legal Practice II

Legal Practice II is the second semester of a required, two-semester, seven-credit sequence that introduces first year students to essential lawyering skills. This course builds upon and continue to explore the skills developed in Legal Practice I. In addition, Legal Practice II introduces students to persuasive legal writing, oral advocacy, client counseling, and negotiation. As with Legal Practice I, the skills are examined in context and students have multiple opportunities to learn through practice, collaboration, individualized feedback and reflection.

This required course is part of the Core Curriculum. All students are required to complete this course during the second semester of their first year.
